Birthday dinner out Outback! WOOHOO!
Yay!

My folks are taking me to Outback to celebrate my b-day with was last Tuesday. (sweeeeeet)

:bounce:

Outback french onion soup..mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

But that always puts me in a quandary..

I *love* the french onion soup they have, some of the best in town, but I also love the "bloomin' onion". But for some, reason people I go with usually don't help me eat the bloomin' onion (not big onion fans, my friends) so I don't get it. If I get both, and I am mostly solo on the bloomin' onion with only other people picking here and there, and then I feel like I've eatn 5 lbs of onion related products before my meal even comes.

Ideal situation, which hopefully will happen tonight, is I can order my french onion soup, and my parents will order the bloomin' onion and I can pick pick pick away at it!

My girlfriend doesn't eat onions, anything onion related, anything that has been in the same room with onions, or anything prepared by someone who has seen or heard mention of an onion in the past 90 days. :dunce:

Heyo

1. Happy birthday! Just one problem here...
Outback is a great restaurant, my spouse's favorite, in fact. But it showed up on a list of Bush/Republican supporters and so it is now off my list. Shame, too. I'll miss it! Good luck with the onion/girlfriend dilemma. Those things can test a relationship, that's for sure.

Don't forget to vote and let's DEFEAT BUSH!!

2. some bad news for you
I live one block from the orig. Outback. And to say the owners are to the right of Tom Delay is not a far stretch.

3. It's all been said above.
When I saw Outback in your subject line, I wanted to post a warning to stay away but the good folks above beat me to it.

It killed me when I first heard about the politics of the Outback owners a year or so ago - it was a fave spot for me and my family. But they'll never see another dime of my money.
