I just set up a firewall this AM, and I've been repeatedly |
|
warned about scans from several IP addresses that all originate from the company below. 14 scans since 10 AM.
OrgName: Grande Communications Networks, Inc. OrgID: GCNI Address: 401 Carlson Cir City: San Marcos StateProv: TX PostalCode: 78666 Country: US
This is an ISP. So is this one person logging in and out and getting different IP addresses, or what?
I really don't know much at all about firewalls. How do I know that they have been kept out? How do I know they haven't gotten in before? I ran a check for trojans on all ports. What else should I do?

Southwest Texas State. Maybe it's a bunch of students with P2P programs looking to connect with yours. Have you used Kazaa or Bittorrent, or the like?

2. Check the system for Phirana |
|
It comes in on port 179 as a default unles otherwise set up.
The company is setting up P2P networks and tries to link as many systems as they can to accomplish this. The network is refered to the Atlantis Project.
Other than that, I dont really have too much info on it, although, I could find it with the info you provided.
Relax, your new firewall is doing its job.
