Anyone else hiding from the trick or treaters?
I had what I thought might be a heart attack this morning. I was standing at the sink rinsing dishes and all of a sudden I had a horrific pain behind my left shoulder. I do have high blood pressure, and I could hardly breathe. I called a neighbor and left a msg to check on me later in the afternoon. Then I unlocked the door, just in case.
Now, it just feels like I pulled a muscle back there since it hurts to move different ways. I know, then don't do that!
Anyway, I am not feeling halloweeney and don't feel up to bending over to give candy to the li'l cuties. This is my first year not giving out candy, so I feel alittle guilty.
Oh, and feel at ease....I already voted ;-)

2. I'm glad to hear kids still trick-or-treat.
I really thought that kids stopped going to people's houses and went trick-or-treating in shopping malls where parents are less afraid they'll be poisoned.

10. Thanks, I appreciate that.
Since we don't have a designated day in my area, maybe I will be able to move/breathe better tomorrow and I can catch them then.

6. I forgot to buy candy
I will play like I am not at home and bark like a dog when they come to the door so that they will take off running

9. Well, I ran out of candy 45 minutes into the festivities.
So, I had to shut the door and pretend I wasn't home for the next 2.25 hours!

Actually, in my little town, we do trick or treat on the Saturday afternoon before Halloween. Kids will NOT come to your house unless you are either on your porch with the candy, or have your porch light on (daytime, remember?) and your front door open. Kids do not come to your door if you are closed up tight with no lights on.

What was interesting this year is that my 8 yr. old wanted to stay home and hand out the candy - she did not want to go halloweening. She had a great time, telling everyone "you're welcome" when they thanked her!

The downside is that there is very little candy here for bunnyj to nibble on! ;)

12. Yes. It's a tradition.
They cooperate by "hiding" from me, as well.
