3. Samhain Blessings to all
Arrives about noon tomorrow; the Celtic/pagan day was from noon to noon rather than from midnight to midnight.

I found this link (at Gamer's Nook) which expresses the many blessings of Samhain nicely

http://www.gamersnook.com/blog/archives/000284.html

The Wheel of the Year turns, and with it comes celebration, for this is the Celtic New Year.

The veils between the worlds are at their thinnest this day, so that those who have passed on can most easily move on to the next world. It is a day of remembrance and joy, as we remember those who have passed on.

It is also a day of reflection. Focus on that which you seek to work on, and begin your inward journey of discovery in the coming darkness of Winter. For as surely as Persephone returned to the world and brought it into bloom, so, too, will you bloom as you venture forth into the realm of self-discovery.

Blessed be, and Happy New Year.

4. Damn I miss that
But my one employee is Wiccan too, and he is off camping at the pagan nature sanctuary where we all used to hang out.

I shouldn't bitch. The guy comes in 1.5 hours early every day, and hasn't missed a day of work in 2 years. So, he gets the weekends off that Ravenwolf is open. He is part of the maint committee and needs to be there.

6. How do you pronounce Samhain, and what are typical foods?

Inquiring minds want to know!

7. Pronounced SOW-EEN or SOV-IN.
Traditional dishes include about what you expect from a harvest festival including beets, turnips, squash, apples, corn, nuts, gingerbread, cider, pomegranates, mulled wines and pumpkin dishes.

with apples and nuts in it. That will be nice and Samhainish.
