Two years later, rapper's killer still at large
NEW YORK (AP) -- Two years after the death of Run-DMC's Jam Master Jay, few clues have emerged about his killer.

The hip-hop legend was killed in his Queens recording studio on October 30, 2002.

Two years later, family members and investigators say the case has been hampered by dead-end leads, reluctant witnesses and negative publicity.

Investigators feel certain that Jay knew his killer -- but they know little else. Not even a $60,000 reward for information leading to an arrest has elicited a response.

A guy comes up the elevator into the studio.. walks into a room with like 5 people in it, and shoots J in the side of his head and leaves, and NOBODY saw ANYTHING?!

Come on..... I know there are some scared ass witnesses out there who fear the retribution, but somebody knows who killed the man.

3. I think it's because...
...people are afraid to come forward. Whoever commited this crime has already proved they are capable of taking a life.

Damn them for taking Jam Master Jay though. Whatever beef they may have had with J, didn't invlove the rest of us. When you kill someone like that (or anyone for that matter) you hurt all of us, too. What does everybody have to be so "hard" all the time? What the F*CK could have been so important as to feel you need to shoot Jam Master Jay of all people?

Probably something stupid...certainly not worth killing over.

4. 60 g's chump change. Why doesn't Russel Simmons up that to 500,000?
I always loved Jay. Saw the band about 5 times coming up. My favorite time was on the steps of L.A. city hall during a street fetival. He was so original and enthusiastic. Such a sad death.
