An ignorant co-worker
I drive a truck for a living. The trailers that we use at my work are white and don't get washed very often so they get a film of dirt on them that some drivers write cute messages in like, "Show tits." Well, some fuckwad decided he'd get political and wrote "Vote Bush" and "Kerry sucks" on the trailer that I had to haul tonight. No problem you figure. Just wipe it out, right? Wrong. It looked like the driver wrote on the trailer while it was wet and when it dried the messages set like stone. I tried scrubbing on them for a few minutes and it was like they were etched into the trailer. So I had to drive around all night with a lot of people thinking I was a Bush supporter. :grr:

1. oh man!
You should have flattened a tire, broken a wheel nut, anything .. circle check the trailer and say it's not fit :(

I know you did your best. It's better now, you're home.

:silly:

3. Even if I'd thought of doing that
It wouldn't have worked. The trailer was already loaded with a load that I had to deliver, so I had to take it no matter what. I would never intentionaly damage a vehicle anyway. And if I just said it wasn't road worthy they'd have a mechanic check the trailer and find nothing wrong and send me on my merry way.

5. Well at least someone didnt put a NRA and Bush sticker on there
I had someone cover up my peace symbol with a NRA sticker and a Bush/Cheney sticker over my Kerry/Edwards. I drove around for 40 miles in heavy traffic unaware.

7. Damn, that sucks
I guess that's one thing I can be grateful for. I have a Kerry/Edwards paraphernalia all over my home and little truck and nobody has fucked with that yet.

8. I bet they're heavy metal Republicans
The Glen Beck type. If the sorry bastards would take a look at the party platforms I'd bet they'd find that they have a whole lot more in common with us.

10. I hate that shit where people write on vehicles
whenever I see cars in the parking lot that say "wash me" on the window, I assume it was written by some trust-fund spendin' frat boy. And I think "screw you, you uptight, pretentious prick. Maybe the owner of this 1980 Honda Accord 2-door can't afford the deluxe Conoco Car wash like you can."

But writing bush messages, that's taking it to a whole new level.

I used to work in a warehouse, and spent a fair amount of time unloading trucks. Where I worked, a driver could throw a BIG monkey-wrench in the days activities by misplacing (or giving to the wrong person) the invoice for the contents.

I take it from your post that someone else drives the same truck you do, so the situations aren't exactly identical, but if you know who wrote this hideous message and you have similar methods of "retaliation" available, I highly recommend fucking with them.

I hope this passes the "bullshit one-liner test" :toast:

11. Thank you kind sir
Very nice. Unfortunately I do not know who wrote that hideous message on the trailer in question. We often swap trailers, as you mmay know that in a semi you can disconnect from the trailer. If I knew the person who did that I'd ask him why some sorry ass trucker making 40k a year would have any reason to vote for Bush.

13. Oh, I see about swapping trailers
I wasn't quite sure from the other post. (not because the post is unclear, but because )

I don't understand why anyone driving a truck would vote for bush. But it was the same way with a lot of my co-workers in the warehouse. None of them made even 40k a year, but plenty of them were for bush over gore

oh well. If they aren't clever enough to be disappointed by bush, at least they will be disappointed by tuesday's results. They may have had your trailer tonight, but we'll have the whole goddamn country come tuesday :D:D:D:D
