What little things make you fell good about humanity?
I like it when people "wave me in" on the highway or when people just wave hello to me driving through my neighborhood. It restores my faith that there are good people in the world.

1. When people say a
genuine, simple, heartfelt, "thank you."

4. I love this animated gif in your signature.
So it is showing the political boundaries of the US from one year to the next?

Pretty cool.

2. After a few weeks in a new apartment
one of my neighbors stopped by to introduce herself (and her daughter) because "she had seen me around but we had never bumped into each other and met". Seems like a little thing but I thought it was a really nice thing to do.

6. My niece
She's a "little thing." Only two years old. Every time I see her she brightens my day.

7. Well, this........
http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/news/state/102904_APstate_dyingvote.html

Not just that a dying man wanted to vote for one of the brave Texans who stood against redistricting, but that the clerk came to his house and did him that honor, someone she'd known so long as a good man.

There is also a street in Israel, if you can't remember a reason to spare humanity from destruction, a street dedicated to the people who risked their lives to save strangers.

This weekend tens of thousands of Americans have left their homes for other states to protect the vote of strangers.

Good people in the world? So many it's past counting. You just have to look.

3. Probably now,
Humans, on the average, are insensitive, self-absorbed, ignorant duplicitous, insecure, small-minded creatures.

DU has restored some of my faith in humanity.

(Or are all DU'ers elves and dwarves?)

9. I was riding my scooter on a road that was under construction
The dump truck in front of me was enveloping me in a veritable blizzard of gravel and dirt both from the truck and from the road. A local municipal service truck traveling behind me saw what was happening and pulled in between us to take the brunt of it. That was nice of them.
