Certainly not b/c of B/C, but as in the word "owl". It could have been spelled "owel" (like "vowel"). But instead it has two syllables but only one vowel--you figure it out.
W is truly the alternative vowel. I believe we true patriots should reclaim it from it's gross appropriation by someone not worthy of using it as a moniker.

Actually, I prefer the German A, spoken similar to the English A in "half".
