3. Isn't it ironic, trotsky???
We could've won today, but Tice made the mistake of shilling for * yesterday. Now God had to punish him. ;)

8. Ha ha don't you know it.
Hopefully Tice makes the connection! You'd think a kid from the Bronx would be raised a Democrat, wouldn't you?

2. Today is the first day I ever went to church to pray for a football team.
And I know I wasn't the only UU there praying for the Packers.

14. Not to worry.
I've been praying since December 12, 2000 for a Kerry victory. Before I knew he was the candidate, I was praying for him. I knew Bush was going to be bad, but I had no idea how bad.

6. So glad Packers won
becasue there are people who belive in these types of omens or whatever. If Wahsington had won maybe some idiot stays home thinking well now Kerry cannot win. As it stands maybe a Bush idiot stays home instead.

9. Thank God that's over. Now I have to say an Our Father and 5 Hail
Mary's for my penance for rooting for Green Bay.

13. I can sympathize with ya
My kids just about disowned me today. You have no idea how totally out of character it is for me to even acknowledge the Packers as an NFL Team. But today I made my cheesehead husband happy and actually cheered out loud for the Packers.

Bear FANactic Forever!!!!

10. Geez, the post game Faux announcers are really dissing the ref
who called that last penalty. Can't believe they say he is trying to get turn the election or something. Got to go to ESPN to see what real sportscaster are saying.

12. Be Sure to watch Keith Olbermann tonight (special Sunday pm show)
I'm sure he'll have a few things to say!

BTW, did anyone notice that the "election graphics" sort of disappeared in the 2nd half? Then they popped them right back up after the skins got their 2nd touchdown...along with comments like "it looks like the republicans are still in it after all."

11. As I said in another thread
life as a Packer fan is like being on a roller coaster. Farve tends to throw too many INTs and Green fumbles too much, but they also seem to have the talent to overcome adversity and they are great closers. Gee, sounds just like John Kerry!

15. As a long time DC area resident, I must, I am compelled by the...
spirit to say:

BRET FAVRE IS GOD

AL HARRIS IS THE SON OF GOD

I value my superstitions far above local team loyalty, particularly when it comes to the future of the farking world!

I was there, up close and personal. It was a great game. Favre was red hot and threw only two passes that could not have been caught. 296 passing yards with a bum hand. The Pack D pulled through when they needed to. And through Tad Divine intervention, the ref called back the Skins TD at the end.

About 10% of the crowd was vocal for the Pack and they weren't all from Wisconsin.

THANK YOU ST. VINCE OF THE GREAT WHITE NORTH.

Since you were there, was I correct when I thought I heard people in the crowd cheering "Kerry-Kerry-Kerry!"??

18. A Ha...we were heard.
Four of us, me, 21 year old my daughter and two cyber friends were sitting in front of the press booths. Don't know if it was us specifically but we were quite vocal with our chants for Kerry. Nobody gave us any grief. Even today's crowd at FedEx is probably 60-40 Kerry. My daughter and her friends were sending text messages to a friend across the stadium the entire game. Wonder if they're part of some strange new demographic the pollsters can't measure.

The stained glass graphic is brilliant. I mean, simply perfect. I will resume my worship of the Deity promptly as promised elsewhere.
