Pretty hard to find their LP, and I'm not sure if it's on CD, but it's one of my favorites from the era.

Oh my little Soldier Boy
I'll be true to you

AND

Tonight you're mine, completely
You give your love, so sweetly
Tonight, the light, of love is in your eyes
But will you love me tomorrow.

12. though not a group...
Mary Wells had back up. 'My Guy'-I would say if pressed my favourite song growing up, because I thought the lyrics were great.

Lesley Gore was produced by Quincy Jones and SOUNDED like a group...

Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 05:47 PM by flamingyouth
And she's always slagged off by people, I've found. I mean, who hasn't danced around their living room with a martini while playing "You Don't Own Me" over and over again? :D

I can't be the only one! :D

16. She's great
and I think "You Don't Own Me" was a milestone ideologically speaking, if nothing else. And she's slagged off by people who don't realise Quincy Jones was her mentor. He wouldn't have had much to do with her if she had been shite.
:hi:

26. Pleasure Seekers
You got the kind of body
That makes me come alive
But I'd rather have my hands across
A bottle of Colt 45

Baby, come on over
Come on over to my side
I may not live past 21
But what a way to die!

Their big hit was the Phil Spector produced "I Love How You Love Me." Listening to that song is more erotic than a hundred loofas.
