1. hah sure
Roethlisberger for Rookie of the Year. God I so need to go get a jersey and I never wear jerseys. Just so happy, we got our work cut out though, going against the Eagles next week but Big Ben I think can do it.

6. "Bums?"
Let's see--the unbeaten Jets, the surging Super Bowl Panthers, the purely offensive-minded Colts, and a lot of other good teams...trust me, this was not an easy streak for the Brady Bunch. You beat us. Congrats. Now win 20 more.

22. It was a wipeout, and no mistake
Congratulations. That rookie QB you've got is a dragon. Has there been any discussion about what will happen when Maddox gets healthy? I assume Ben will keep the starting position, the team should stay with the hot hand. Hm...this story line sounds familiar.

See you in the playoffs. :)

29. Maddox isn't as tough, or as laden with "intangibles" either.
I hardly ever get to watch my beloved Stillers up here in the NYC metro area. But the last two games (Dallas and NE) they've been on up here, and I've been BLOWN AWAY by Big Ben.

The kid just doesn't make mistakes on the football field. He's selfless -- he take some pretty hard licks for that extra split-second it takes his receiver to get open. Plus, he's re-invigorated the big-play potential of Plexico Burress, which had pretty much disappeared with Maddox.

It's also apparent when watching them that he's just the kind of guy that makes everyone else want to play that much harder. Staley has had 4 100-yd games in his 5 starts. The O-line is pushing people back consistently in their running game. Probably the only person who hasn't stepped it up with him is Hines Ward -- only because it's pretty much impossible for Ward to step his effort up above what it always has been.

Maddox better get used to holding the clipboard, and look for another job in the offseason if he wants to be a starter. Big Ben will have that position in the Burgh for years to come.
