"This lady's nice! We have to come back here tomorrow!"
As spoken by one of the kids who was just on my porch.

I bought a bunch of full-size candy bars for the kids.

I think Spider-Man has to be the most popular costumer this year, as far as I can tell. I'm enjoying this very much. :D

8. That's a great idea, Pam
I'd be preaching to the converted here in my district, though. Jim McDermott's my congressman and all of my neighbors support Kerry. :hi:

3. I used to love people like you
We knew all the houses up on driveways with hills gave out big candy bars. They knew kids would seldom walk up this little hill to get candy. We did. So we got THE GOODS every year. Yeaah.

4. James was Spiderman this year. He's safely and warmly tucked in
as I type this. It was a great night spent with my littlest one. My daughter has passed the age of begging and handed out candy. :hi: Have fun Lisa!!!

7. You never forget childhood memories of Halloween
I remember a few choice houses myself....one where the lady made
homemade candy apples or carmel apples that were to die for.
The other was a Dr. who happened to be black and was threated many
times in an all white neighborhood. Even bombed his house once...
but he would give a huge popcornball and would give every kid a quarter, 2 dimes a nickle and 10 pennies.
I usually get alot of kids for halloween so it would be impossibe
to do this.
So for my immediate neighbors....i do special bags, this year
i gave them each a halloween coloring book and christmas sticker
book and some special little toy for the boys and one for the girls
coming to my house is a special treat every year.
At christmas i usually do them a bag as well picking up dollar store
items or books from the grocery store.
Last year i got all 3 girls next door Barbies for Halloween but when
there Parents put a bush sign in there yard they just got a bag of
candy.

10. Kids go bananas over the full-size bars.
I should know, when I went trick-or-treating, we'd go CRAZY if we got a house that had them.
