Take a tabby-kitten break!

My wife and I went to her mom's to check out her new tabby kittens -- Clem and Sam. They were born stray, but were adopted out to good homes.
Here they both are, snoozing in my arms:

At 9 weeks, they are at that age where they're starting to get into everything, but they are genuine heart-stealers.

We have an orange tabby male who rules the roost. We fostered a stray tabby female last summer till we found her a home. Gotta love tabbies. Great pics!

13. Your cats are beautiful.

But you know what stuck me about your photos? The bookshelf. This is going to sound weird, but it seems that when anyone on DU posts a photo taken inside their home, there always seem to be bookshelves or just piles of books. Maybe it's a democratic trait? Maybe we're democrats because we actually read, unlike the little emperor in DC. Maybe I'm not explaining myself well, but it just seems like everyone reads, and that may explain why belong to this party. We're simply more inquisitive and informed.

I could spout a load of studies that show strong (albeit corralative) evidence that voracious reading leads to all sorts other behaviors, including being able to think logically, but I really need to fall asleep now. Dream of books and cats, my friend.
