So I gave my buddy shit for not doing the halloween thing |
|
I phoned him and said something like "SO are you minding the door?" He said "No" so I asked "Oh is tania?" He said "Nope, were not doing the halloween thing."
I was pissed, all through our childhood this guy was there with me making the candy rounds, and after all that stuff he got he isn't gonna pass out candy? It's a karma thing. I bet when they have kids they'll take them out too.
It's weird cause they're newlyweds so you'd think they'd be all playfulll about it and stuff but no.

1. Maybe they are creeped out by kids. |
|
It happens sometimes. Maybe if they have some of their own they won't be creeped out by kids anymore.

4. I'm getting to that point myself. |

We don't have kids, and never will. Yet every year we decorate, buy lots of candy and whatnot --- and no one ever shows.

6. You'll be pleased with me |

I make up for people like him LOL...
I have been decorating for almost a month in anticipation of tonight.
I think we had about 60 trick or treaters (probably all wondering what in the hell is wrong with adults who decorated THIS much)
It was great! I can't wait to plot next year's graveyard!

7. If they don't want to do the Halloween thing |
|
I'll sell them my house. Last year we got absolutely NO trick-or-treaters. This year three groups. The reason is this is a "mature" neighborhood, meaning most of the people moved in at least ten years ago, all their kids are grown, and there are very few kids young enough to trick-or-treat. This year it's rained all evening. Not a heavy rain, but a steady kind of light drizzle, enough to discourage the younger ones.
The other thing I've noticed, at least where I live, is that Halloween ends earlier and earlier. It used to be kids would arrive until 10pm, and maybe a little after. By now, the last ones have arrived by 8pm.
