Mr. Moonbeam just called me. He's working a weird shift tonight, receiving shipments at his company all alone. This guy drove up in an 18 wheeler with a pretty big shipment from Chicago and while he and the driver are unloading the stuff, the guy goes "Man, I can't believe you guys are going to re-elect that mother fucker bush. He needs to burn in hell, seriously."

Mr. Moonbeam busted a gut laughing and told the guy "Hey, I'm no fan of his, I've already voted for Kerry." The guy looked like he was bowled over and said "I half expected you to punch me out for saying that" and Mr laughed again and said "no way, I hate that bastard."

He was afraid the truck driver would choke he was laughing so hard.

Then he asked him if he could park his semi in the back and sleep there for the night in the bunk in his cab. Mr. said of course, truckers do it all the time. The guy looked so thankful, he said most places tell him no, shove off. Mr. Moonbeam told me he had the feeling it was because this guy is African-American. So they sat down and had a coke and talked about the election and had the best time. Then he got into his cab and got to sleep.

That just made me feel good. I can't believe people would tell him he can't stop his truck in their deserted parking lot for the night and sleep.

2. Bush hating Truckers are rare

My husband drives a semi over the road and he has a really hard time with the backwoods redneck rantings of most of the truckers he talks to. Good to know that there are other Bush hating outspoken Truckers out there.

4. Hubby drives a truck

puts his Kerry/Edwards stickers in the windows. Has been wearing Kerry/Edwards t-shirts and hat for the last month. Has talked a few youngsters into registering to vote, gives them my email so I can send them info about the candidates. He has at least 5 Kerry voters now in WI and MN. *s* Oh and he turns his CB off. Can't stand the trash on it. Not bad for a reformed voter himself.
