Snowstorm in Denver---
Damn, I haven't been paying attention to local news/weather. Seems the snow storm I'd assumed was limited to the foothills and high country is dumping 6-12 inches on us! Looked out my window to see if the wind was still blowing and the street/houses/trees are totally covered. I haven't even located my winter gloves or boots yet and have only been wearing a light raincoat.

Any Coloradoans heard how long this is supposed to last? I sure hope it doesn't impact voter turn out. I've already voted, but we need Denver, Boulder and all the other "liberal hotspots" to turn out in record numbers!

2. OH WELL
The snowstorm hit the Broncos today.
Jesus, how could we lose to a team that got waxed in Kansas City last week?

At least the Packers beat the Redskins, lets see if that holds true.

12. That's what I'd assumed... It is a wet sloppy snow
But, the leaves are still on the trees, so we'll likely get limb damage...

11. Here? Home of the wait 20 minutes weather pattern?
What happens today won't even make a blip on Tuesday's radar.

5. 1991 Minnesota had 37" of snow on Halloween night
but this year, even mother nature is voting for Kerry.
Hope it settles down in Denver.

Actually, I like snow... just wasn't expecting it given my preoccupation with all things election-related...

Hubby is taking in the scarecrow we put out front. Earlier, I gave the s/c an umbrella. But I was just told that he's getting soaked and is being removed to the shed.

The yard is all white and soaky with wet snow!

Edit: Earlier today the weather lady said election day will be nice and sunny. You know the drill, snow one day and all gone the next.

9. Reporter Standing In The Snow Right Now.....
KKTV - Channel 11 in Colorado Springs. Coming down pretty good at the intersection of I-25 and North Nevada, at the northern end of town.

They called for rain mixed with snow turing to snow here in the Pueblo area, but so far there's nothing - just a strong breeze. I'm sure my commute to Colorado Springs tomorrow is gonna be a real day at the beach...

10. NOAA: Election Day: Sunny, Clear and 45-55
Snow's supposed to end early tomorrow morning and clear up in the afternoon.

And I don't know about your neighborhood, but mine would walk over hot coals to get to the polls (and some have; we're running at 42% voted in my precinct!) and vote a disgusting fact out of the White House, so if a little snow keeps away the Republicans, let it snow!

14. I waited in line with about 200 others for 3 hours last week to vote early
and no one even thought about leaving!

So, no, I expect a dedicated, determined crowd, but the elderly would be impacted by snow....

But, typical for Colorado, snow one minute, sun the next, so Tuesday should be great!

15. Damn I miss Denver
Loved that place.

Used to live in Cherry Creek before it got all crazy, then in Wash Park.

I really miss it this time of year in particular

19. I'm walking distance to Cherry Creek--near Cheesman Park
'Love the area (although Cherry Creek is getting too $$$ and uppity)... Still I love getting out and walking and Denver Capitol Hill is just gorgeous with the leaf turn this year.

18. I love the snow... and yes, Halloween is almost always snowy...
I just hadn't been paying attention and the weather has been so mild, it caught me offguard. I am only concerned that we don't lose the elderly at the polls. Hopefully, the elderly retirement homes made plans to absentee vote or early vote. Elderly Denverites are reliable Dem voters so, we need them.
