What are YOU doing on Election Day!! |
|
Edited on Mon Nov-01-04 02:04 AM by Scooter24
I don't think I could deal with all the drama of election day. So after we vote, we are planning on spending the rest of the day out shopping, at the movies, the park, the spa, and probably a bar in the evening following dinner. Then head back home about midnight and see who won.
I need to keep the pressure down..lol :)
How about the rest of you?

1. I'm going to spend 14 hours as a poll watcher |
|
w/ 'election protection' here in Alb, NM. I will be in charge of the other workers in my precinct, and have a lawyer by my side. It will be a loooong day, but afterword's I will probably get blasted and taxied home (to my dad's house). I would love to say I would then indulge in a night of raucous sex, but hubby is back in CA.

8. I almost did that, but they asked me to head the precinct |
|
I would prefer to be able to drive around and listen to the radio (my standard real-world soccer-mom life I am comfortable with).
Drive safe, and drive many.

Here in Alb. we have many doing the same - and if they can't make it we'll give them a ride.

taking midterms. And trying to stave off what seems to be pneumonia.
I will be wearing my "I'm Voting Kerry" shirt though, as well as berating everyone I meet into remembering to vote.
(I already voted absentee)

13. Poll monitoring in the morning |
|
Then dashing to school to attend a meeting of my defense team for our mock trial, then going back to poll monitoring, then dashing home to watch the returns and try not to freak out overly much. (I voted absentee several weeks ago.)

taking a drive up the coast, just driving and driving then turning on newsradio around midnight to see who won. All that was before Kerry got momentum, so plans changed now that it looks like a win. I'm going over to my father's and watching TV as all the states turn blue. :-)

and being a secret poll watcher. I'm supposed to be non-partisan but that's with the kids and I will be. But all bets are off if the republicans try and pull some shit - I'll have my cell phone at the ready. Which reminds me I have to pre-program the numbers into my cell phone.

We will vote, then go to the hospital for some tests on her neck. Should be home by dinner. All in preparation for neck surgery in December! I think my mind will be off the election most of the day
