Did you go to YMCA Summer Camp? Any weird things happen?
When I was 7, I went to summer camp in Beaumont, TX. It was the 70s, so streaking was still in vogue. All of us boys were told to strip as did all the male staff, counselors. We all streaked around the grounds, then everybody gathered around a huge bonfire, which most of us peed on. For me, it was an innocent experience, but I wonder now how innocent it was for the grown men there...

Then, at age 10, I went to another summer camp, this time at Skyline Ranch YMCA camp in the New Mexico mountains. Overall, it was a good experience. There was one night our teenaged counselor pulled his dick out several times and would say the DeNiro line "You talking to me?" every time. Again, at the time, we all thought it was just funny.

I really don't know if our society has just become way too hypersensitive about anything smacking remotely of sexuality and kids, or if something really inappropriate was done.

1. No, I went to YWCA summer day camp, but we got to

wear bathing suits when we went in the pool. I hear boys are forced to swim nude at YMCA pools, some kind of male bonding thing, so I guess your first camp experience was kind of like that. I don't know that it's ever been quite as innocent as they claim, though. And the teenaged counselor had a weird streak for sure. If my son had come home from camp and told me either story, I'd have been concerned.

I think children are more sexual than most adults realize, and play some sex games on their own, but when a much older person is playing sex games with them, it's always wrong.

2. Made for Each Other
We hate children.

We hate sex.

So we sexualize our children.

It makes perfect sense to me.

3. I work at a YMCA camp
And we don't do any crazy shit like that. In fact, sometimes it was a fight to get the kids to keep their clothes on.
