For my 5,000th post I'd like to...................

thank DU, the Administrators, the Mods and all of my wonderful Democratic brothers and sisters for this wonderful site and all that I've learned from each and every one of you. It's only taken about 3 years to reach this milestone, but I'm not a very prolific writer.

When I first found DU I thought I was the only person that felt so angry over the 2000 election and the direction the neo-cons were taking our country. Finding DU was a breath of fresh air, there were others that felt the same way, and there were a lot of you! If it wasn't for DU, I'm sure my life would be much different than it is today. For the worse of course. Although we may disagree at times, we're still like minded and Progressive and want a different course set for our Country.

That being said, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's election and a new start for our country with the election of John Forbes Kerry. This IS the most important election I've experienced in my 53 years on this planet. Together we CAN make a difference. We must. Thanks again to everyone, I love you all. :loveya:
