Stupid credit union incompetence.

I called my credit union to find out if the checks I ordered had been shipped.

It turns out they were shipped -- to my Racine address, where I hadn't lived for five years. :eyes: (They apparently had my new address printed properly, but the address in their computer system was that old.)

This wouldn't normally be a big deal, as I pay all but a few bills electronically...but the stupid credit union didn't even give me starter checks...

1. My bank did the same thing to me when I moved.

I ordered new checks, had them printed with new address, had been receiving statements at new address, but somehow they still managed to send the checks to the old address.

Incompetent boobs.

2. Go to your credit union and demand they write checks

for your bills. Same thing happened to me. They gave me checks for my bills until my checks arrived at the correct address. The can write drafts against your account. Don't let them tell you they can't.

3. They told me I could do that, so it's not a huge problem...

but it's inconvenient.

4. I did the COA and ordered my checks today.

I asked if they would be delivered to my new address "'cause my ex-wife got hers delivered to our old address -- like, our SEVEN-YEAR-old address."

Guy looked shocked -- SHOCKED! -- and assured me they would be coming to the new addy.

5. What do you want to bet you get yours before I do?

I'm still waiting on the ATM card.

7. Wow! when criminals called BofA requesting a new acct in my name,

they gave them my acct number changed my address and sent them an order of checks, which they received and promptly used! How efficient of them! :eyes:
