BERLIN (Reuters) - German police detained a naked 25-year-old woman and her 23-year-old partner who were engaged in sexual intercourse on the pavement in the middle of a busy shopping district, police said Saturday.

Police in the western town of Duelmen said the couple were spotted by pedestrians late Friday morning having intercourse. Pedestrians in the town of 40,000 called police, but the couple initially ignored police orders to stop.

"The naked couple continued their passion-filled activity on the cold asphalt," a police spokesman said. "They finally followed police instructions to stop on the third warning."

The spokesman said the two face a 100-euro ($125) fine each for disturbing the peace.

8. Reminds me of a joke.

Three couples were in religious training to become members of the local church. As part of their final test, the minister directed them to be celibate for the next 6 weeks. Each couple knew it would be difficult, but they loved each other and wanted to be come members.

Six weeks later all three came back for their final class.

The minister asked the couples how their final task went.

The first couple replied it was very difficult but they turned to the Lord in their most desperate moments and were able to make it through.

The minister was saddened by their actions and told them they would not be allowed to join the church.

The wife replied, that's OK, we're not allowed in the grocery store either.
