Comfort food time...
Election has me as nervous as a porcupine in a balloon factory. Gotta have comfort food today...

Lunch is a fried egg sandwich.

Dinner will be a meatloaf and mashed potatoes.

Anyone else eating lots of comfort food today?

Just had cold left over Phad Thai for breakfast. What is more comforting than spicy rice noodles, peanuts and chicken. Have you ever noticed that take out is always better cold. Nothing beats cold Thai, cold Chinese or the best breakfast ever.....Cold Pizza.

I'm thinking meatloaf for dinner as well---Though I've even been thinking of going more American with a Bisquick Impossible Cheeseburger Pie. I've never made one of these but it seems to be a fitting dish for election eve.

Comforting to pet as well as eat.

Sorry I had to hijack this to have an excuse to see a cat picture.

My menu:

Probably something with a wine sauce I can cook for a long time in the crock pot.

37. Heh heh
Many years ago, my brother had cold pizza for breakfast. That afternoon, he got clobbered senseless during football practice. When he came to, the coach started asking him questions like "What's your name? Where are you?" etc. to make sure he wasn't concussed.

When the coach got to "What did you have for breakfast?", Bro hesitated then replied, "Um... toast."

13. I've extended my "eating crap day" from yesterday.
I still have bronchitis (just got some antibiotics though thankfully) and have pre-election jitters, so I'm having pizza and leftover Halloween candy for lunch. :P
As long as I get back on the wagon by Wednesday. :D

23. My son is taking a Z pack for pneumonia...
What an antibiotic! It broke his fever immediately, but he has some sores in his mouth...I've been giving him a little yogurt along, to take care of the mouth thing.

You have to celebrate somehow. Today, comfort food. Tomorrow, booze.

31. I've got Erythromycin.
Yeah and you reminded me- yogurt (and lots of it, plus some acidophilis pills). Hopefully, I'll be okay then. I hate this stuff, but I got tired of waking up hacking green stuff.
I'm glad your son's doing better. That stuff is rough. I have to deal with another round of ear tubes and adenoid removal for one of my boys at the end of the month. No fun. :(

29. it's really yummy, passed down from my Nana
crush the crackers up really good, one time you could buy them in crumbs but they stopped selling them for some reason. After you crush them and sprinkle them on top, dot it with butter and it gets crunchy.

and I brought the leftovers for lunch today. Oh, and leftover Halloween candy, too. I'll go back to eating healthy food - and not drinking so heavily - after our electoral landslide.
