Can you load mp3's on the x-box and play them?

1. Well...
you can rip cd's to your hard drive on the xbox. And if you use a modchip, and have the correct software, yes you can play mp3s.

For instance the XBOX Music Mixer (costs about $15).

Another possibility is using the freeware XBOX Media Center, but installing it requires hacking the XBox, either by modchip or one of the software hacks (Ernie&Bert).
