For inspiration - Do you hear the people sing? |
|
From Les Miserables:
Do you hear the people sing Singing the song of angry men It is the music of a people Who will not be slaves again When the beating of your heart Echoes the beating of the drums There is a life about to start When tomorrow comes
Will you join in our crusade Who will be strong and stand with me Beyond the barricade Is there a world you long to see
Then join in the fight That will give you the right to be free
Do you hear the people sing Singing the song of angry men It is the music of a people Who will not be slaves again When the beating of your heart Echoes the beating of the drums There is a life about to start When tomorrow comes

3. Ummmm, I think someone is a bit cranky..... |

Les Miserables is a good choice for tonight along with Branagh's Henry V if anyone needs something inspirational to watch on video to steel them for tomorrow.

8. On, what's that Danny Devito movie where the kid learns the speech ... |
|
...The St. Crispin speech from Henry V?
I cried. There he is in the rain, and he's memorized that speech. But, what's the name of that movie?
My mental rolodex feels full. And, I've got PEAD... Pre Election Attention Deficit.
Yep. I've PEAD.

2. I love that musical. Always makes me cry. Right before the intermission. |
|
I have the vhs tape -- the one for the anniversary where the parts were sung on a stage, not in a theatre, just for the music, not acting the parts. (How does one explain that? Sorry, I didn't do a good job).
Sometimes I just play it for inspiration as I work.

6. Hmmm, I don't know. Wonder if they have. Have you checked? |
|
I haven't. Maybe I'll run over to Amazon and give it a shout, shall I?

The first time I saw Les Miserables I bawled like a baby. Such a moving story & that is my favorite song, 2nd is "Master of the House" of course.
