Election Eve CONFESS! Where were you when SCOTUS picked Bush??? |
|
I was at work as a contractor in Montco PA at a major Pharmaceutical company where most folks were pretty much Bush supporters. I just felt so alone because people were getting so excited that the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Bush. All over in cubicles were those damn "Sore/Loserman" signs.
I'm so glad that I didn't take the job there, but work where folks keep it a little more quiet about politics but I'm finding that our company is pretty well divided up. Hopefully I'll never have to go through December 12th, 2000 ever ever again!

I was drinking a lot around that time. I can safely say, on my couch in front of the TV.

How is it America can suffer a bloodless coup, and people like Ben Stein can call it 'A Shining City on the Hill'?

Tennessee, and I wrote into the book that here it is Dec. 12, and we still do not know who our president is. An hour later there we were, and we lost one fine president. Personally I am one who resents that America was stuck for four years with this loser when we could have had Al Gore, a sensible, serious, sensitive, intelligent, environmentally knowledgeable, English speaking winner-cheated.
