These elections are too fucking long!!
In Canada, it took them 30 days to elect a government. Just one month.

Here, it has been 3 YEARS.

That's just ridiculous.

Imagine what could have been done with the money wasted on advertising?

4. Just think of it this way:
A large portion of a billion dollars spent during this election cycle by all parties. A hell of a lot of money.

TWO HUNDRED billion spent so far in Iraq. A hell of a lot of money.

Really puts it in perspective, doesn't it?

8. Well, e-LECT-ions are pleasurable...
I'm sure glad you chimed in, my friend. This rant of mine really wasn't going anywhere...but going phallic ALWAYS works for me. :-)

5. Actually must be at least 36 days
We actually have a lot of unofficial campaigning. Our elections are called at the drop of a hat (writ actually) but speculation is usually spot on to when the election will be held.

We also already know the prime candidates. There is no primary season. I think the grueling campaign schedules in the US helps to prepare the eventual winner for the job. Running for president is the ultimate job interview. It could be a bit condensed though.
