My mom lives in Illinois and was not going to vote tomorrow! |
|
She sent me an e mail saying that the news media has been saying Kerry has won the Illinois electoral votes. She took that to mean she does not need to vote! Oh I QUICKLY gave her a lesson in the popular vote and the electoral college. I also let her know in no uncertain terms that it was important for her to vote.
I WILL be reminding her to vote tomorrow.
EVERYONE needs to vote tomorrow!
Well, Republicans can vote on Wednesday.

and the possibility that she was not going to vote. She has only lived back this way since the end of May. She used to live in Arizona but moved back to Illinois after she retired (that should tell ya something...MOST people get away from cold weather when they retire).
I would LOVE to be able to vote for Obama but all I get is the opportunity to vote against Kit Bond. oh joy!
My mom is in no way shape or form into politics as much as I am. She always says she doesn't know where I came from or how I got so interested in social justice.
If she does not vote and I find out about it, I REALLY hope I can contain the intense anger I will experience.
