It cost me $13.65 to cast my vote!
Well, it's all my fault. I let time slip away...and, yesterday I realized I hadn't sent in my absentee ballot! OMG! I guess it's because I've spent way too much time on DU.

My options were either to drop the ballot off at a local polling site tomorrow (any one in the county would suffice)-or deliver it to the Registar of Voters by 8:00 PM tomorrow night.

Guess what I picked?

I decided I would trust the US Postal Service to deliver my ballot via Express Mail to the Registrar of Voters...guaranteed delivery by 3:00 PM tomorrow! BTW, it may even be delivered by tonight! I just didn't want to wait in line at the polls tomorrow.

:D

I FedEx'd my application for absentee ballot AND my completed absentee ballot!! FedEx confirms it GOT THERE!!

Worth every penny. And I'd do it again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day!

4. I had to do that as a freshman in college
The county board of elections set me up. I did not get my ballot in the mail until the day before my elections so I overnight mailed it. I was so upset that I didn't vote again until I got out of college.
Were they trying to prevent me from voting?
