I am worried sick; please be nice to me. |
|
I got a kid who is being tested for among other things, diabetes. He is 14, but no matter what, I am going to vote, even though I am awful depressed.

1. Your child is in my prayers |

Let the doctors run their test. You can help in his (or her) future no matter what medical course you have to run by evicting the Chimp.
Hang in there.

2. Perhaps Kerry's programs for health and insurance will ease your mind. |

From what I've read, I dig his ideas. Also, perhaps stem cell research will lead to a cure.

best of luck. Diabetes sucks, but it's not the end of the world. I'm hoping for the best.

5. Good thoughts your way |

Sorry to hear about your kid. My boyfriend is 40 and has been a Type 1 diabetic since about age 16. He manages just fine. Most times I forget he is diabetic. It's totally do-able.
Try not to worry; that won't change the outcome anyway. :) Think happy thoughts about tomorrow. Let us know how things go.

8. Thank you all!!! I hobbled out to vote at 8:00 am with spouse!!! |

We are both in great hopes of a Kerry landslide!!!
I don't get my son's lab work back for a couple of days yet.
My son has enuf problems and he doesn't need, nor does anyone need, diabetes.
Damn them pharmaceutical companies making drugs that have such evil side effects.....I am glad that Roger Moore is gonna take on the drug companies. They are so evil. They are not looking to cure anything, just to make more and more pills...and more and more $$$$$$
Like CHRIS ROCK says, what's the last time they cured anything?
POLIO? Thats all the fuck that they can cure?
:wtf:

both my parents were diabetic and so is one of my brothers. It can be handled with good care. Don't get me wrong - it's serious business - but it can be handled.
If he is diagnosed, immediately order the magazine put out by the Diabetes Assn - my mum gets it and it's chock full of information.
