5. I had planned on it but |
|
I was sick last week and didn't want to use up any more of my time. Hopefully at work tonight I can run into the breakroom pretty often and keep up with the results and be ready to party tomorrow morning.

6. If I had been able to get off work, I sure as fuck wouldn't be on DU. |
|
I'd be at the polls right now, working, driving, phoning, whatever they wanted me to do.
I didn't have the option to get off work. I surely hope you get off this stupid computer and go do something if you're able.
Sorry to be harsh, but I'm jealous of people who have the opportunity to actually DO something today instead of sit impotently at work and stare at early polling results.

but thank you for being presumptious that I hadn't had other plan than "sit impotently"

8. I took half of tomorrow off, |
|
Figuring on staying up REALLY late tomorrow. I'll probably do some phone calls this afternoon to remind people to go vote!

9. My boss just came in and said something hilarious- |
|
"Everyone leave work as soon as you are able and get out and vote! Except for **** (who is republican)- I am making him work until 10:00 tonight!"
It was of course said jokingly... poor ***, someone taped the "Every time you vote Republican, God kills a kitten. Think of the kittens!" on his desk 3 dasy ago. It is still there.
My boss is from England so can't vote himself but he is very involved in getting others out to vote. Gotta love the guy!
