"Mr.Keyes, there are flights available right now"
It was just swell having him here in Illinois, but you Maryland DU'ers can have him back.

2. He Said Yesterday He's Staying Here!!!!
Said he wants to help rebuild the Republican party in Illinois. He is so oblivious. The problem with the Republican party in Illinois is that the moderates are criminals and the far right led to him being the candidate.

He's not part of the rebuilding. He's an indicator of the demolition.

Oh, my God. I honestly didn't hear that.
If that's the case, then the Illinois GOP will continue to lose in this state. Period.

5. What a joke, eh?
Serves them right, nullifying the will of the electorate because the duly elected candidate didn't have sex with his wife.

Ha!

This is Illinois. We are moderates. May their precious wingnuts keep them tied up in knots for years and years to come.

6. Could be good for Illinois
If the IL republican party continues to shift in Keyes' direction, it will only mean more votes for Democrats

7. The Opposite Actually Has Been My Theory From Day 1
I have always believed that when no "up & comers" would take Ryan's spot (nobody was going to beat Obama, anyway), the moderates in the IL GOP went out and got a bombthrower with a "wink & nod" toward the radical right.

When he gets annihilated today, the moderates will NOT have to cede control of the party to the right wing nutjobs because they'll be able to say "We tried it your way and got creamed."

So, i really don't think that Keyes will hold much sway amongst the GOP powerbrokers around here.

3. Thought he was going to stay in Illinois
which is too bad for the people of that state. Please don't even think of sending him over here to Iowa.
