I stood on a corner with a Kerry sign in a tiny conservative town

and it felt GREAT!!!! We got so many thumb's up it was AWESOME!!! I had just finished voting and was going to get a coffee and saw a bunch of Bush/Cheney signs with a couple of supporters...didn't wave of course- then I saw the Kerry supporters- honked and waved at them...then flipped a bitch and went back and helped out with the cause. That felt AWESOME. I'm still coming off a high from it!!! I can't tell you how great that felt!

I'm sure people will notice me in my small town now...heh. In any case I'm ready for it. I just hope DH doesn't get crap at work for it!

There have been posts about people mowing down Kerry/Edwards yard signs in our area in their cars, and I know Katherine Harris had to dodge a car in Florida this past week.

I don't want anyone to get run over out there, and I wouldn't put it past some crazy idiot to attempt vehicular homicide because of your political affiliations.

So, have fun. Keep doing what you're doing, but keep your eyes peeled and watch the car traffic.

7. During the entire event I was really close to the curb and thought

to myself to back the truck up- at one point I thought someone was going to spit at me...but they just flipped us off. LOL.

But yes, do be careful- you don't know who or what you are contending with. I hope my DH will be understanding and not pissed with what I did. The cops circled us (all of us, cons & libs) three times...but we were peaceful.
