When did Jonathan Alter (Newsweek) lose the toupee?

I noticed last night on MSNBC, that the toupee was gone. Wasn't he still wearing it during the conventions and debates?

I'm assuming he wore a toupee and hasn't been scalped. Correct me if I assume wrongly.

7. Yes, JA has a rare form of lymphoma. He is doing so-so.

Heard him interviewed on Imus and talked about the cancer and that it was a rare form and it sounded like he's taking every day at a time because it could return at any time.

Love John Alter!

8. I feel like a heel!
I had no idea he'd been ill, just that he suddenly looked very different.

I like his writing too and hope he fully recovers.

4. Frank Luntz stole it!
Frank offered one of his castoff dead possum rugs, but Alter said no thanks.
