When should I pop the cork?

The champagne is chilled to a crisp 45°F . Here's the dilemma. When should I pop the cork? Should I do it when Kerry's electoral vote reaches the magic number or wait until I know if I have won the Mega Million lottery after ten pm?

Till then nothing.

By that I mean until every vote is counted. You may have to wait until tomorrow to pop the cork. I wouldn't want to be premature.
