What is this rash on my ankles? Is there a doctor in the house? |
|
About a week ago, I went swimming in a salt water marsh near the eastern shore in Virginia. Shortly after this, I developed an itchy rash on my ankles and on the tops of my feet. The rash consists of small, raised bumps that range in size. The largest bumps are about the diameter of a pea and the smallest are slightly bigger than pinpricks. The bumps are roughly the same color as my skin, but perhaps slightly more pink... maybe from scratching.
The rash seemed to disappear a few days ago, but now it seems to be back, mostly on my left ankle.
Anyone know what this rash might be?

If I ever had chiggers I would just cut the affected body part off, I swear. It sounds so gross.
Yeah, it can happen in Virginia!
