On the bright side, Bush is bound to F@%k up badly in the next two years |

You'll suffer a lot, but hopefully, you'll get the house back, and then the country.

1. ahh, now that IS my cheerful thought for the day.... |

It wouldn't be funny, but it actually is how I've been consoling myself. That and the fact that I'm lucky to be infertile so I don't have any kids to worry about being drafted. Its almost like hitting rock bottom only harder

5. Why? Just think of it as the national version of "tough love." |

Some countries, like some people, don't figure it out until they hit bottom and there is nowhere else to go but up.

Is all about punishing their children when they do wrong. It's time for a little John Rosemond for the nation.

8. I don't want America to hurt like that |

I just think that many people who voted for Bush are naive. They think he will keep you safe. They don't think for themselves, and they drank the Kool-Ade. His marginal supporters will realize how wrong they were in the next couple of years.

The pukes now control all the parts of government. Even if we could launch an impeachment, it wouldn't work--they're all on his side, now. ANWR is going to be the first to go--must not stop progress from fucking up the preserve and digging up all the oil there. And fogedabout the Kyoto Protocol, it's outta here. And we must not worry about other nations--they're just jealous, aren't they? We don't owe them shit, do we?
How about the pig farms, and the pollution in our bodies of water? Hmmmm.....did you hear mercury poisoning is actually good for the soul?
Oh! We mustn't forget gays--they're going to be rounded up and shot over mass open graves. I'm not Pol Pot, but I did admire his methods. And don't forget--have your documents in order whenever the Gestapo--er, I mean, the police--wants to make sure you're listening to me every night, instead of "Air America" or other such propagandistic fare. The Iron Curtain has just been installed--decide which civil liberties you cherish least, because we're only keeping a few. One more thing: you will have to sign a loyalty oath if you want to make any kind of appointment with the government.
It's over, kiddies. The United States is now in the hands of a dictator and his mob, even worse than 1939 Germany. The fence that cuts us off from the free world will begin construction tomorrow promptly at 7:00 a.m., already being worked on by all those undocumented workers who are being paid less than minimum wage, but hey--they're desperate enough to want to come here, we didn't ask them to.
