Get in touch with the feelings of "real" Americans in the "Heartland", instead of the elites on either coast.

Speak plainly, take a strong stand for the familiy and against the evildoers and most of all be a moral person, at least on the TeeVee.

like how about talking about REAL family values-a living wage? Promote this as a way to make sure that a family is able to stay together and not live in poverty. You can talk to Southerners about this, and they will listen.

There is no way that this is possible --

it sounds like a good idea -- but that would mean that the candidate would lose people like us.

Fundies are faith based nuts -- and there is no real way to communicate with them. They memorize messages -- these are miserably stupid people. They are anti science -- they believe that the world is 6 thousand years old -- they are basically opposed to everything that forms our moral code.

The candidate doesn't attract them -- it is their faith based church, their faith based social circle -- and their leader who tells them what to think.

Any democratic candidate who tries to win the fundie leaders -- could never walk the walk and talk the talk in order to hoodwink the fundie leaders.

One are in which the democrats have failed is that there are quite a few - thankfully, none of the candidates, but quite a few - who denigrate religion and make religion, of whatever stripe, either the boogeyman or relegate it to the status of being inconsequential.

There are a hell of a lot of religious democrats, and a hell of a lot of religious republicans.

Downgrading and insulting the religious by the democrats needs to stop. Not that we have to embrace theocratic thinking, but at least respect the role of religion in the lives of hundreds of millions of people.

And we really do need to learn how to speak the language of the other side.

we need to drive huge wedge issues into the hearts of those idiots, and show mean small minded xenophobic christians to be "bad" christians.

We probably need a charismatic preacher-like person to provide moral authority and guide these assholes into being better "christians" and more accepting of diversity, and the only way to do that is to put the fear of god's eternal damnation into them for being sour nosy old shits.
