Philippe Petit's signature on the WTC
Just watching the PBS show where they talk about Philippe Petit's high wire walk between the two towers. At the end of the segment they mention the fact that Philippe signed his name on one of the steel beams at the top of the tower. Does anyone remember anything about this part of the building being found & more to the point saved for any future WTC memorial, museum or display ?

1. I seriously doubt it was found
And that high up, it would have been, well... you know.

2. No, Know what ?
It would seem that being at the top of the tower would have lent to the preservation of the signed metal.

The fact that it was on the first building to fall of course complicates the issue quite a bit.

4. Know that the steel from that tower was twisted
after buring at the bottom of a pile of debris that burned for over a week at 1000degF or so.
That's what.
I was trying not to think of the people I knew in that building.

3. Well, they found a hijacker's passport fluttering down in the wreckage...
when even the black boxes were destroyed, so I'm sure there's a chance that this will turn up as well.
