I'm listening to "You Can't Always get what you want" by the Stones
A Good Message There, Maybe, Somehow....in the long run this loss in '04 (while painful and horrible right now) will come out good in the long run. I don't know how but it's an extremely comforting notion that may have a grain of truth embedded somewhere in there.

You can't always get what you want! But sometimes, You get what you need!!!!

And that's 400 posts!

"It Makes No Difference" by the Band. I wanted music to match my misery.

4. I've been listening
to Simon and Garfunkel..

America--"I'm empty and aching but I don't know why"..

The Only Living Boy in New York--"I get all the news I need from the weather report".

Bridge Over Troubled Water.

Sigh.

Also fits here. I really, truly beleived Kerry was going to take back the White House. And therefore, I long for yesterday!

7. My Nephew (aged 4 1/2)
was fighting over some toy with another child at his day care and told the other kid "you can't always get what you want... I learnt that in a song!"

Gotta love the little guy but I feel bad for the country that the fucking Bush voters will leave for him when he gets older.
