I am taking an extended vacation from DU. Farewell (for awile).

I have decided not to quit permanently, but to take sort of a long vacation from DU. I have a feeling the boards are about to become host to a lot of doom and gloom, "I told you so" threads and Monday morning quarterbacking. Right now, however,I am really not in the mood to be a part of that. I am sure DU will regroup as it comes time to mobilize for the 2006 elections and/or as the Iraq war (or some new war) continues to deteriorate.

I also need to take some time off from my intensive involvement in politics and tend to some personal affairs for the next few months. For my own sanity, I'm not going to let this evil Administration ruin my career ambitions and my ability to enjoy life. I'll likely be back in time for the 2006 elections.

I, too, am dropping DU from my bookmarks for a while. Some threads today already clued me in that this is not going to be the place for me for at least a few months. Listened to Muddy Waters all day, ate a pint of chocolate icecream, now I've moved on to wine. Not a good day, but it's better when I'm not here or watching cable.
