Prescription to feel better - Friday off work, golf, wine & fireworks...
Well, I might just be able to forget about Bush's victory for a little while if I really focus on exactly how shit at golf I am......

Also, it's November 5th tomorrow which is when we Brits celebrate the capture and horrific execution of some Spanish geezer wot tried to blow up the king a few hundred years back - this involves many fireworks displays and a lot of extra work for the fire service....

I have to work like a dog all next week and over the weekend, so I'm going to make the most of tomorrow by playing golf with the g/f, seeing some of her family and then getting good and drunk on decent red wine (not American, I'm boycotting it....).

Anybody else got any good ways to shake off the blues?

P.

1. For me..
I'm spending Friday to Monday at my best friend's place on the south coast. He's head chef at a very nice AA-rosetted restaurant in the area, so I'll be dining in style too.

As for Gunpowder, Treason and Plot, I'm wondering how may Guys this year will really be effigies of Bush rather than Guido Fawkes.

5. Nice......I stuffed myelf with crispy duck last night......
Something about good food really does lift the spirits (especially as I didn't get back from work until 9:15).

Have a good one.........

I'm sure that there will be a few Bushes knocking around, instead of the usual effigies like gypsies and the like.....

2. Cheers Mate and pardon my Yankee Ignorance
but are you referring to Guy Fawkes day? That involves lots of fireworks does it not? As for shaking the blues, take a camera with yow tomorrow and capture natures beauty and know that the planet is loaded of wonderful things.

6. Hey Guy - make sure you don't get burned tomorrow!
Heh heh heh...

Mind you, with a name like Guy Montag, shouldn't you be setting fire to things yourself?
