For those who don't know...the Trib is the right-wing rag that is owned and operated by Richard Mellon Scaife the scumbag who pushed the investigations that badgered Clinton...
My mom is a Dem but she kept getting this rag because of the obits and local news....but finally I have prevailed and she has cancelled that piece of crap.
Its not even fit to wrap fish in.

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review? Or another city's paper with the same name? I know a guy who works for the Pgh. Tribune-Review, and he's not right-wing at all. Must be rough for him, given what I've read about Scaife in Eric Alterman's book.

but the Pittsburgh TR is published by the same outfit.
The Trib always paints democrats in a bad light...they would never put a picture of Gore on the front page during the 2000 election... all per scaife's say so...
If they did put his picture in the paper it was always unflattering...

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette leans so far to the left that some might say it's Communist. Love political cartoonists Rob Rodgers and Tim Mennee. Some of their cartoons re: Bush are scathingly funny and right on target.

they do put krauthammer and will articles in the paper and the editor John Craig...well I am not sure how he leans but he was beating up the dems this weekend...

John Craig and they do publish articles by Krauthammer and some others who are obviously conservatives but the general tone IMHO is that the PPG is very liberal. Some of the Letters to the Editor are quite funny when someone writes to bitch about the latest Rodgers or Mennee cartoon to take a swipe at Bush and threaten to cancel their subscription. Truthfully, I'm surprised that no one has threatened these guys. They are relentless in their pursuit to make Bush out to be a complete idiot.
