OK, I'm back.. as if anyone noticed I was gone

Like so many others here, the election left me devastated. I had to take a few days off from any news about it, whether here, TV, radio, people talking or anywhere. I just couldn't stomach hearing about it. Of course it was inevitable to hear some. Like how bush was planning to go ahead with his victory speech even before Kerry conceded. I heard how the networks were writing off the Democrats as a national party. Our numbers are concentrated in urban areas but still we did get 48% or so of the vote. It is not the blow out they make it sound like. The landslide victories for the gay marriage ban amendments made me sick. I'm rambling now, but it feels good. And it feels good to be back on DU. I need you all.

I needed that. I read some of the thread about your daughter. It just made me sick. So called Christians acting in such a manner. I used to think the Catholic church was the most Christian of any group. The members were more concerned with social action than any other church I knew of. That has changed, and not for the better. The Catholic church seems to have gone to bed with the Evangelicals, only not knowing it was a one night stand. Evangelicals have no long term use for Catholics who they don't even consider "real Christians" but only used them for their own purposes. Here is a :hug: for you and one for your daughter. :hug:
