I realized this just after finishing the second book. *smacks forehead*

2. Just say: "Hillary/Barack 2008!"
Another DUer's husband said that to his freeper coworkers.

Of course, we all know that probably isn't going to happen, but watch them sh!t their pants when you say it. Freepers are SCARED of Hillary.

3. I work from home
...so I didn't have to deal with any repugs yesterday. Good thing too, because I couldn't stop crying. My wit and sarcasm is back in full force if you need help! I am always on the computer.

4. Reading that series is never a good idea
The writing is amateurish, the plot slipshod, and the theology piss poor. It's better to spend your time reading something that will feed your heart and soul, not wither it.

Let them gloat for now. We know what Bush is. We know what Bush is likely to do to this country. We know it's all going to blow up in their stupid faces. And then we can get them onto our side.

8. Good summary...
I only read the first book and could not read anymore. Horribly amateurish. Bad writing. Bad character development. Awful. I could not get into it at all.

5. Reading that Series (if you can w/o puking) is a VERY GOOD idea
... because once you read it, you can understand where the Christian Taliban...er...Evangelicals are coming from.

7. Thanks guys! You're the best!
 And trust me, I'm not relying all my beliefs on the books, but it's an interesting read and I'm keeping things into perspective. :D I haven't gone THAT much off the deep end!

9. Why not read it? The Red States think it's a guide to the future
And some of them are working hard to bring it to pass.

10. That's their map to the future.
Honestly. The smartest fundie I know thinks all of that is going to happen. And it's not just that. It's the tone. They want to think about people who are not like them suffering and being killed. They get off on it. The sooner we realize that and start dealing with what we're really up against in people like that, the better.

11. Was it ever a good idea?
I like science fiction as well as anyone, but the writing is very bad in that series.

12. I'm reading "1984" myself
I have 3 or 4 large non-fiction tomes in progress but I just can't find the energy to continue them right now. So I picked up 1984 - it seemed appropriate.

13. We've been studying Revelations...
and it was written in code to the believers to let the faithful who were being percecuted by the Romans to have hope. Christians who take it literally are off their nut. Left Behind is a good book, but it's just that...a book.
