Last night there was a segment on our local news about St. Louis University having done research on the flu vaccines and how they are administered.

According to St. Louis University researchers, you can use 1/2 the normal dosage by injecting it into the skin as opposed to the current method of injecting it into the muscle will be as effective as a full dose.

but I also read that, since it is not the approved way to administer the vaccine, if someone gets the flu, develops complications, and dies, the doctor can be sued since he used an experimental technique. Just a thought, discuss away.

In the Navy in 57 there was a vaccine shortage. The vaccine was given in two small doses under the skin at the back bone. A hospital Corps man on each side of (the victim) administered the shot. It was very very painful like a dose of fire.
