just saw British news paper title--
A British news paper title said--Bush...4 more years. Then next page was totally black with two words in white in the middle..
It said "OH GOD".

Another British paper said How can 58,000,000 people be so DUMB.

I just saw this on CNN at 11:20 this morning.Us peasants will just have to sit back and take our lumps.Thankfully for my family, we are on social security before they screwed around with it,but my grandkids and my boomer kids will have to scratch for every nickle, that is -if we still have an American currency.

1. Embarrassing, isn't it?
I hope they pointed out 54 million people are horrified.

8. Leave us alone
You think we like it?

You think we aren't pissed as hell??

Fucking damnyankee Republicans moving here in the boom 90's and ruining our lives here.

Shut up and leave us the fuck alone. At least you don't have to live here with the damn fools. I refuse...simply refuse...to let them have my home without the fight of their lives.

5. I'm so glad they understand that half of America isn't stupid
It's clear we need Europe's help, asking is easy, but how do we actually get their help?

6. I'm on social security, too, but not at all sure much of it will be left
after Bush finishes with his "SS privatization plan". As I understand it, this will require reducing our current benefits by as much as oh, say, $500 a month. And of course they will continue to raise Medicare premiums, or do away with it altogether, since I'm sure the insurance companies will want their fair share. Those 58 million some-odd voters are not only dumb, they're self-destructive, as we will all be caught in the raging flood that's about to engulf this nation.

13. Class: I believe that there is a definite spiritual character to the
interconnectivity or sense of agreement, of oneness with thousands of
strangers who by their common thoughts aren't really strangers, just people who's names are unknown to us. Throughout this dreadful campaign experience, I have definitely felt a sense of togetherness with my fellow posters. Like you, it has shown me that I'm not alone in my thoughts.

When I saw the movie E.T., I first realized that one of life's chief requirements is to "go home". But, in order to do that, you've got to
have a home and know how to get there. Perhaps D.U. is somewhat of a spiritual home for many of us who don't feel connected to where we live physically. (I'm in Ga. a state that is now controlled by people with whom I don't share political values.)

11. Daily Mirror picture here:

The Independent's front page is actually "Four More Years" surrounded by pictures of war, dead people, Enron, a Bush supporting holding up a sign about Jesus...etc. IIRC.
