I’m trying to rush through the steps of anger and denial and despair and get to a point of acceptance. What the hell, it’ll be easy. We have four more years.

I am angered and saddened, worried just waiting for some faint glimmer of hope. These are suddenly dark days.

Democratic Party leadership is obviously lacking and Karl Rove knew this with certain glee from day one. For them this was never in doubt. Once ensconced, he’s in it for the duration.

They turned Iraq to their advantage. They turned every domestic and international catastrophe to their advantage. And they did this in broad day light.

And we’re all living among souls capable of looking at the same picture and saying “hell yeah, we ought to turn the Middle East into a parking lot”. And there we have it.
