AARGH! No hot water this morning.

The nice plumber replaced the water heater YESTERDAY. Last night, I tested it out and almost scalded myself. Very good.

Today...nothing.

I called the plumber (again) and he said that it was probably one of three things -- bad fuse, improperly set thermostat or (and this one is my favorite) the upstairs neighbors are syphoning off my hot water because a cross-connection occurred somewhere (which means I'm paying for part of their water bill). The plumber is coming (again) today to see what the problem is.

These things make me grateful I'm renting and not stuck with the bill (although I'd imagine the service fee will be waived today).

we live on Lake Ontario and there are wind gusts up to 45 this morning. Dogs were huddled on the couch.
