6. I'm embarrassed by the movie 'Chicago'.
Actually, the movie with the best 'feel' for Chicago is "The Fugitive", in my opinion.

Others include "High Fidelity", "Road to Perdition" and of course..

"The Blues Brothers" & "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".

For Jersey, you could watch any of the Sopranos DVD boxed sets. Oh, and I think "Hysterical Blindness" with Uma Thurman and Juliette Lewis was also set in Jersey...that was a good chick flick!
