I'm thinking of ignoring this outrageous email- what do you think?

Late Tuesday night I got an email from an old HS friend of mine- he's gay and very liberal and his email was sent to a bunch of his friends and was something to the tune of "I can't believe this has happened- this is a dark day in America etc..". A couple of the people on the list (I didn't know everyone) replied back to all of us with similiar sentiments. So, I replied back to everyone with something trying to be uplifting about remembering to never give up, organize, and also keeping in mind the voter fraud that isn't getting attention in the mainstream media. I also attached the article entitled "Kerry Won" that has been circlating here on DU.

Here's the response I got from someone I don't know (sent only to me). It is so riddled with hated, racism, and lies that I probably won't even try to respond- but I am still really shocked.

"You are so full of shit!!! I find it extremely hard to believe that all the hanging chad votes that get discarded every year are all for the democrats and all done by the blacks. Give me a break and get real. Are you trying to tell me that the black people are so stupid they don't know how to vote? I know many black people that would be very offended by you saying that. I am an independent voter and therefore I have no affiliation with either party. You are just being a sore loser because the person you wanted in did not get it. It is people like you that make me sick. Its people like you that our county is so screwed up. I am so sick of hearing people complain because things did not go their way. Tough it up and move on. If you don't like the way things are than work on changing them, don't complain about them and stop, please stop giving the blacks something else to complain about. The blacks already get everything in the world they want and they don't have to work for any of it. I just wish that people would just be people and realize that bad things happen to us all and we make our own destiny and nothing should ever be handed to anyone and we should all be grateful that we wake up each day and are healthy and alive. President Bush received more votes than John Kerry. Period. You can try to play with the numbers anyway you wish, but the truth is he received more of the popular vote and the electoral votes to win. Get over it."

I would reply to them. i would say, in response to the comment "Its people like you that our country is so screwed up.", that no, it is people like you: discriminatory, intolerant bigots, who voted for bush.
leave it at that. he may be an aquantince of your gay friend, but jeeze! talking about how blacks get everything they want and don't have to work! what piece of shit! I'm sure that black-Americans have to work twice as hard as any white man or woman to get most anything and that discriminatory attitude is what makes greatness crumble.

If you can let an e-mail go unanswered, do. It's only worth the struggle if you absolutely can't keep yourself from responding.
